
West Ham have officially confirmed the appointment of former Brighton and Chelsea manager Graham Potter as their new manager.
The 49-year-old has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal with the London side. After sacking Julen Lopetegui on Wednesday after six months in charge.
Potter took over West Ham, who are currently 14th in the league table with 23 points, just 7 points above the relegation zone, and have won just 6 league games.
It is his first job since the Englishman was sack by Chelsea in April 2023.
“I’m delighted to be here,” Potter told the club’s website. “The important thing for me is to wait until I find the right job for me and the right club for me to join.”

The Blues paid Brighton more than £21m in compensation. With Potter impressing after leading the Seagulls to 15th, 16th and 9th place finishes in the Premier League in three years.
The new manager’s first job is an FA Cup third-round tie against Aston Villa on Friday. Before returning to Premier League action at home to Fulham on Tuesday.
